Lanphier Lions 62, Limestone Rockets 59
After a slow start in the first quarter, Lanphier led 7-4 at the 3:10 mark. Limestone then rallied to take their first lead 8-7 at 2:20. Lanphier's Karl Madison then hit a 3 to give Lanphier a 10-7 lead. Madison then drove the lane for a layup to make it a 14-9 Lanphier lead. Limstone then cut the lead to 14-11 at 1:10. In the last minute of the quarter, Limestone went to the free throw line four times, converting 3 of four. The quarter ended with a 14-12 Lanphier lead.
After an exchange of baskets, Lanphier still held a 22-20 lead at the 3:15 mark. Limstone's Stewart scored 10 of Limestone's last 12 points to help Limestone stay within two points as it was 28-26 at the half.
Lanphier was able to stretch their lead to 36-30 after Murdock scored four unanswered points. Limestone's Stewart then hit a bucket to make it 36-32. Lanphier then hit a bucket to take the biggest lead of the game at 40-32 at 3:11. Lanphier then was able to cut the lead 42-38 at the 1:15 mark. Limestone was then able to cut the lead to 44-42 with the last basket of the quarter by Akil Watkins.
To start the 4th, Limestone's Langen hit a three to give Limestone a 45-44 lead. Lanphier's Clemons used a conventional three point play to give Lanphier a 47-45 lead. Then Clemons hit another bucket to make it 49-45. At the 5:27 mark, Limestone's Langen hit a three to give Limestone a 50-49 lead. Limestone took a 54-52 lead at 3:33. Lanphier's Madison tied it 54-54 at 3:10. Lanphier's Madison made it 56-54 at 2:10. Limestone tied it 56-56 at 1:49. Lanphier's Wright made two free throws to give them a 58-56 lead at 1:05. Limestone's Langen went to the line on Wright's fifth foul and made all three free throws to give Limestone a 59-58 at 47 seconds. Lanphier's Hearn went to the line at 32 seconds and made one of two to tie the game 59-59. Lanphier's Clemons went to the line at 15 seconds and made one of two to make it 60-59 Lanphier. Limestone's Ashby missed the front end of a one and one at 7 seconds. Lanphier's Ashby was then fouled and made both free throws to give Lanphier a 62-59 lead at 5 seconds. Limestone's Stewart missed a three pointer at the buzzer to give Lanphier a 62-59 win.
