#2 Mt. Carmel Caravan 56, Pekin Dragons 33

Mt. Carmel's Abrams opened the game with a layup at the 7:03 mark. Pekin's McLouth got Pekin started with a long jumper at the 6:27 mark. During a lose ball scramble Mt. Carmel called a timeout at the 4:26 mark, tied at 2. Pekin's Lohmann made one of two free throws after 2:20 ran off the clock, 3-2 at 4:07. Filer hit a 3 pointer for the Caravans at the 3:53 mark.  King's 3 pointer at 2:43 gave Pekin the lead, 6-5. Baskets were exchanged as Pekin regained the 8-7 with 1:50 left in the quarter. Both teams exchanged baskets again 10-9 at the 1:10 mark. The Caravan regained the lead with a Filer layup with 20 seconds remaining. And that's the way the quarter ended, 11-10 Mt. Carmel.

Abrams got things started again in the 2nd quarter, 13-10 at the 7:33 mark. Hill-Bey rained in a 3 pointer to extend the lead to 16-10 by 6:02 mark. Baskets were traded before Abrams went to the foul line where his attempt to complete a 3 point play was unsuccessful, 20-12 at the 4:19 mark. Gac's tip-in at 2:20 extended the lead to 10. Pekin's Barnes picked up 2 points 1:40, 24-14. Mt. Carmel played for the last shot of the half and earned a trip to the free throw line to no avail. The half ended 24-14 in Mt. Carmels favor. 

Filer started the ball rolling for Mt. Carmel, 26-14 at 6:55 mark. By the 2:24 mark Pekin was out scored 17-10 from the start of the quarter, 41-24. And that's the way the 3rd quarter ended.

Pekin's Hoeniges scored the first points of the 4th quarter. Gac answered with his own 2 points at the 6:55 mark, 43-26. Baskets were exchanged over next minute of play, 45-28. By the time the clock reached the 2:00 mark, the score was 51-30. Subs were entered into the game. The game ended 56-33, Mt. Carmel.
