#3 Moline Maroon 53, Plainfield East Bengals 29

Wismer of Moline was the only one to the find the bottom of the net for the first minute of the game with two baskets, 4-0. By 6:25 mark Wismer added two free throws to his one man show, 6-0. Plainfield was in foul trouble and put the Maroons into the bonus by the 5:38 mark. Robinson got the Bengals on the board when he made the backend of his two free throws, 6-1 at the 4:50 mark. Lewis converted both of his free throws at the 4:26 mark to extend the lead 8-1. Moline added 4 more points to their score, before they called a timeout with 50 second left in the half. Krantz of Moline added a field goal and conventional 3 point play to extend the lead to 17-1 with 20 seconds left on the clock. The Bengals' Thompson closed the 1st quarter with a layup, 17-3.

The Maroons put Plainfield into the bonus at the start of the 2nd quarter. By the 5:00 mark, both teams added 6 points to their score. Wismer produced all of the Maroons' 6 points, 23-9. Moline was in the double bonus at the 3:58 mark. Plainfield reached the double bonus at the 3:07 mark. As the next three minutes pass, the game remained physical, in which both teams made it to the foul line three times, 27-12. The first goal the 2nd quarter came as the Bengals' Williams at the 1:34 mark. Wismer completed a three point play with 58 second left in the half, 30-14 Moline. The scoring ended when the Maroons' McDermott made one of two free throws, 31-14 Moline.

Plainfield came out in the second half in a full court press. The Bengals' Robinson scored a layup and they forced a quick turnover, where Robinson hit a short jumper for 2 more points, 31-18 at the 5:52 mark. Moline called a timeout at the 5:47 mark. Wismer converted a low post pass to make the score 33-18, at the 5:01 mark. The Bengals added a free throw before the Maroons' Wages and Glovanine dropped a pair of 3 pointers on them, 39-19 at the 2:53 mark. Moline added another 2 points before the Bengals called a timeout at the 2:30 mark. In the last two minutes the Bengals' outscored the Maroons 5-4. The 3rd quarter ended 45-24, Moline.

Moline's Wages followed his missed 3 point shot and converted a short jumper to start the 4th quarter. The next basket came from Krantz to add to the lead, 49-24 at the 6:41 mark. Moline called a timeout at the 5:30 mark. Moline added another basket before the Bengals' Walters broke their scoring drought with a layup at the 4:44 mark, 51-26. Coming in off the bench, Goffinet drained a 3 pointer for Plainfield, 51-29 at the 3:52 mark. Players were subbed with just under 2 minutes left in the game. The game ended 53-29, Moline.
