Richwoods jumped out to a five point lead at the 5:43 mark. Richwoods extended it to 7-0 at 3:50. Normal West got their first basket by Tyler Bell at 3:36 to make it 7-2. Richwoods' Mason Alwan hit a three to make it 10-2 at 2:05. Normal West then rattled off five points to make it 10-7 at the 1:45 mark. Richwoods' Jenkins hit a three to give Richwoods a 13-7 lead. Normal West hit a three to make it 13-10. Richwoods made the last basket of the quarter to make it 15-10 at the end of the quarter. There were five three point baskets made in the first quarter.

Richwoods' Desjardins hit a three to start the quarter to give Richwoods a 18-10 lead. Normal West got their first basket at 5:28 to make it 20-12. Richwoods was able to extend their lead to 22-12 at 4:45. Normal West cut the lead to 22-13 with a free throw after going 2 minutes and 20 seconds without a point. Richwoods' Cole got a bucket to make it 24-13 at 2:08. Normal West answered with a three at 2:01 to make it 24-16. Normal West cut the lead to 24-18 at 1:20. Richwoods ended the half with a 26-18 lead.

Normal West was able to cut the lead to 6 30-24 at 5:50 only to have Richwoods answer with a bucket to make it 32-24. Richwoods got the next bucket to make it 34-24 at 5:05. Richwoods extended the lead to 36-24 at 4:40. Richwoods extended the lead to 43-28 at 2:11. Richwoods' Desjardins hit three free throws to give Richwoods the biggest lead of the game at 46-31 1:16. Richwoods' Cole made the next four points to make it 50-31 at the end of the quarter.

Normal West hit the first seven points of the quarter to cut the lead to 50-38 at 6:47. Normal West then cut the lead to 10 50-40 at 5:55. Richwoods' Alwan hit a three to give Richwoods a 53-40 lead. Richwoods' Frazier converted a three point play to make it 56-40. Richwoods then made the next 5 points to make it 61-40. Richwoods maintained a 20 point lead 63-43 at 3:17. Richwoods extended the lead to 24 68-44 at 1:56. At this time both teams entered their reserves. Richwoods won 71-48.
