Geneseo Maple Leafs 37, Thornridge Falcons 46

After a slow start Geneseo was ahead 4-2 at the 5:40 mark. Thornridge tied the game 4-4 at 5:10. Neither team scored again until Thornridge scored at 3:40 to make it 6-4. Geneseo tied it at 6-6 at 1:01. The first quarter ended with a 6-6 tie.

Thornridge got the first basket of the second quarter at 6:30 to take a 8-6 lead. Geneseo then tied it at 8-8 at 5:50. Geneseo's Croegaert hit a three at 5:25 to give Geneseo a 11-8 lead. Geneseo then hit a free throw and later a bucket to take a 14-10 lead at 4:07. Geneseo's Ashpole then hit a bucket to make it 16-10. After neither team scored for three minutes Thornridge hit a bucket at 53 seconds to make the score 16-12 Geneseo. Thornridge then hit two free throws to make it 16-14 with 30 seconds left. Thornridge's Bonner then stole the ball and converted the layup with ten seconds to play to tie the game 16-16. The half ended in a 16-16 tie.

Thornridge scored first in the third quarter to make it 18-16. Geneseo responded with a three to make it 19-18. Thornridge then responded with a bucket to make it 20-19. Geneseo then converted the front end of a one and one to tie the game 20-20. Thornridge then made the next two buckets to take a 24-20 lead. After an exchange of baskets, Thornridge still led 26-22 at the 3:33 mark. Geneseo scored the next basket at 1:35 to cut the lead to 26-24. Thornridge responded with a bucket at 1:05 to make it 28-24. Geneseo then hit two free throws to make it 28-26. Thornridge held the ball for the last 45 seconds and missed the shot at the buzzer to keep a 28-26 lead at the end of the quarter.

Thornridge scored the first four points of the quarter to take a 32-26 lead at 6:57. Geneseo then hit two free throws to make it 32-28. Thornridge responded with a bucket to make it 34-28 at 5:49. Geneseo then hit two more free throws to make it 34-30 at 5:34. Thornridge hit two free throws to make it 36-30. Geneseo responded with a bucket of their own to make it 36-32. Thornridge made one of two free throws to make it 37-32 at 4:05. Thornridge hit a bucket at 2:50 to take a 39-32 lead at 2:45. Thornridge then hit another bucket off a steal to take a 41-32 lead. After an exchange of baskets Thornridge led 43-34 at 1:20. Thornridge then scored a bucket and the front end of a one and one to take a 46-34 lead. Thornridge held onto the lead and won the game 46-37.
