Lake Zurich Bears 62, Limestone Rockets 72

Weeks and Stewart combined for the first 4 points of the game to give Limestone a 4-0 lead. Limestone's half court press gave the Bears difficulties and the score was 9-2 at the 4:38 mark. Lake Zurich's Grcic dropped a 3 at the 4:20 mark, 9-5. Stewart and Langen combined for the next 5 points, 14-5 at the 2:40 mark. For the remainder of the quarter Limestone outscored the Bears 10-5, with 6 points coming off a pair of 3s from Limestone's Stewart, 24-10.

For the first 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter both teams exchanged baskets, with Limestone getting the edge 12-11, 36-19. The Bears ran off 6 unanswered points by 3:13 mark, 36-25. The last 2:45 saw Lake Zurich go to the foul line twice and Limestone once and each team added a basket to their scores. The half ended 39-28, with Limestone retaining its 11 point lead.

Stewart continued to let his presents be known in 3rd quarter, with back to back 3 pointers, 45-28 at the 6:03 mark. The Bears' Rathe was unable to complete his 3 point play making the score, 45-30. The score was 49-33 when Limestone called a timeout at 4:30 mark. Over the course of the next 2:00, the Rockets added 2 points to their lead. Morris came in off the bench for the Rockets and drained a 3 pointer at the 2:37 mark, 54-33. Baskets were exchanged for the remainder of the 3rd quarter, where the score ended 56-39, Limestone.

The Bears' Rathe drove the ball three quarters of the court for a layup that started a 9-0, ended with Rathe 3 points at the 5:05 mark, 56-48. A pair of Stewart free throws stopped the bleeding for the Rockets, 58-48 at the 4:18 mark. Limestone called a timeout. After three failed put backs by the Bears, the Rockets took the ball the length of the floor to make the score 60-48 at the 3:39 mark. At the 3:23 mark Lake Zurich's Lewandowski made the first of his two free throws, and followed his missed free throw for a put back, 60-51. With minutes waning the Rocket were sent to the foul line 4 times, made 5 of 8 free throws. The Bears added a basket in that time frame, making the score 65-53. With just a minute left in the game the Bears called a timeout with the score 68-59. The Bears' Brinlee drained a 3 pointer with 49 seconds left on the clock. The Bears called a timeout, 68-62. With 26 left, the Rockets were sent to the free throw line, made one of two. Ball went to the other end of the court were it got tied for a jump ball call. Game ended 72-62, Limestone.
