Hersey Huskies 48, Normal West Wildcats 57

Normal West jumped out to a quick four point lead which included a dunk by Normal West's Tyler Durham. Hersey responded with four points to tie the game at 4-4 at 6:06. Normal West's Hallstein hit a three at 5:10 to put Normal West up 7-4. Normal West's Austin Stewart converted a three point play at 4:50 to give them a 10-4 lead. Normal West's Hallstein then hit a three to put them up 13-4 at 4:15. Normal West's Tyler Bell then hit a running layup to put them up 15-4. Hersey's Miklasz then converted a three point play to make it 15-7. Normal West's Tyler Bell hit a layup at 1:05 to make it 17-7. Hersey responded with a basket to make it 17-9. Hersey's Kyle Pietro hit a three at the buzzer to cut the Normal West lead to 5, 17-12.

Neither team scored until the 4:08 mark when Hersey scored to make it 17-14. Hersey then tied it up 17-17 on a three point play. The game was then tied at 19-19 at 1:53. Hersey then took the lead 21-19 at 1:30. Hersey scored again to make it 23-19 at 1:19. Normal West then scored to make it 23-22 at 35 seconds. Hersey scored the last basket of the half to make it a Hersey lead 25-22 at half.

Hersey scored the first basket of the half to take a 27-22 lead. Normal West then scored five unanswered points to tie the game 27-27 at 5:35. Hersey then scored to make it 29-27. Normal West tied the game at 29-29 at 3:20. Normal West's Hallstein then hit a three to give Normal West a 32-29 lead. Hersey's Kyle Miklasz then hit a three to make it 32-32. Then Conner Miklasz on Hersey hit a three to make it 35-32. Hersey then hit another bucket to make it a 37-32 Hersey lead. Normal West then hit a three to make it 37-35. Normal West then tied the game 37-37 at the 50 second mark. Normal West took the lead 39-37 with 20 seconds to play. The third quarter ended with a Normal West 39-37 lead.

After an exchange of baskets and a free throw by Hersey Normal West led the game 41-40 at the 6:34 mark. Hersey then scored to make it 42-41 Hersey lead. Normal West's Stewart then hit a three to give Normal West a 44-42 lead at 5:30. Hersey then scored to tie the game at 44-44. Hersey led the game 48-46 at the 4:20 mark only to have Normal West come back and score to make it 48-48. Normal West then scored four unanswered points to take a 52-48 lead at the 2:51 mark. Normal West then took a 6 point lead 54-48 at 1:25. Normal West then hit two free throws to take a 56-48 lead. Normal West maintained that lead and won 57-48.
