After an exchange of baskets Lake Zurich jumped to a 6-2 lead at 5:50. Plainfield East responded with a bucket to make it 6-4 at 5:35. Plainfield East tied the game 6-6 at 4:55. Plainfield East then took the lead 8-6 at 4:30. Plainfield East jumped lead off to a 13-8 lead at 1:55 after a 3 by Jawan Straughter. Plainfied East maintained the lead at 15-10 at the 1:02 mark. Plainfield East led 16-10 at the end of the quarter.

Plainfield East took the biggest lead of the game at 20-10 at the 6:03 mark of the second quarter. Plainfield East continued to lead 23-11 at the 5:20 mark. They extended their lead to 16 points 29-13 at 3:01. Plainfield East still led 31-15 at 2:09. The half ended with a 34-21 Plainfield East lead.

Plainfield East was able to maintain the lead 41-26 at the 2:43 mark of the third quarter. Plainfield East extended that lead to 45-27 at 1:01. The third quarter ended with a 45-29 Plainfield East lead.

Plainfield East held a 19 point lead 54-33 at the 5:00 mark. At the 3:05 mark Plainfield East had a 60-35 lead. Both teams emptied their benches at this point. The game ended with a 61-39 Plainfield East win.
