#2 Mt. Carmel Caravan 55, #4 Richwoods Knights 65

Davis started the ball rolling with a 3 pointer for Richwoods at the 7:38 mark. Cole followed with a basket at the 7:18 mark, to jump out to a 5 point lead. Mt. Carmel's Filer dropped a 3 of his own at the 6:45 mark. Thirty seconds later, Cole's field goal made the score 7-3 at the 6:15 mark. The Caravan's Filer received a technical foul and the Knights converted one of the two free throws, 8-3 at the 5:59 mark. Mt. Carmel's Coach Flahety called a timeout at the 5:19 mark. Scott was unable to complete a conventional 3 point play, making the score 8-5 Caravan. Frazier's basket at 4:45 mark increased the lead by 5. Clark's layup made the score 10-7.  Richwoods Frazier responded with his own layup, 12-7 at the 3:42 mark. Clark drained a 3 pointer with 2:58 left on the clock. Mt. Carmel's Scott earned a trip to the foul line, converting one of two free throws. With 2 minutes on the clock Filer gave the Caravans their first lead of the game, 13-12.  It only took 15 second for Alwan to regain the lead for the Knights. The next 5 points were added to Knights total, which included a 3 pointer from Jenkins, 19-13 with 53 seconds left in the half.  The 1st quarter ended with the Knights in the lead 19-16.

Baskets were exchanged until Mt. Carmel's Abrams sank a 3 pointer at the 6:35 mark. The Caravan took the lead with a Filer layup, 23-21 at the 6:05 mark. Filer added to the Caravan lead, which prompted a Richwoods timeout, 25-21 at the 4:59 mark. A pair of baskets by Frazier and Deal tied the game at 25. After an exchange of baskets, the score was tied again at 27 by 3:07 mark. By the 1:55 mark Mt. Carmel's Abrams had picked up a free throw and layup, while Filer added a basket also, 32-27. Over the course of the next minute both teams made their way to the foul line, only Richwoods came away with a point, 32-28 Mt. Carmel. The nets stayed empty for the last 1:44 of the half. 

Cole's 3 pointer started the 2nd half, which brought the Knights within one, 32-31 at the 6:55 mark. Deal scored the next 3 points, which included a free throw and a field goal, and gave the Knights the lead. The Caravan responded with an 8-0 run to the 4:07 mark, 40-34. A Frazier free throw made the score 40-35 at the 3:50 mark. Anderson and Frazier picked up the next two baskets making the score 40-39. Richwoods continued its 8-0 run with a Desjardins' 3 pointer to take the lead, 42-40 at the 2:20 mark. Filer made it to the line at the 1:41 mark, making one of two to tie the game at 42. 

An Abrams 3 pointer regained the lead at the 7:24 mark of 4th quarter, 45-42. Abrams added another basket to extend the lead to 5 at the 6:52 mark. Deal's short jumper brought the Knights within 3 at the 6:03 mark, 47-44. A Deal layup drew a foul, which he converted for the 3 point play, tied at 47. Eight straight Deal points gave the Knights the lead at the 4:24 mark, 49-47. Gac was fouled under the basket and was sent to the line, where he converted one of two, 49-48 Caravan. A Frazier layup at the 3:19 mark added to the Knights lead, 51-48.  Both teams were in the bonus at the 2:50 mark. Scott fouled the Knights' Alwan outside the arc. Scott received a technical foul, which sent Alwan for five free throws, which he converted 5 of 5, 56-48 at the 2:07 mark. Caravan's Coach received a technical foul. The Knights' Alwan sank both free throws increasing the lead to 10 points. Mt. Carmel called a timeout. By the 1:55 mark Richwoods added another free throw to their score, 59-48. Filer's basket at the 1:45 mark made the score 59-50 Knights. The Knights called a timeout at 1:27 mark. The Knights saw the foul line twice before the clock reached the 1:00 mark, converting 1 of 4 free throws, 60-50. McKenzie put a layup in to make the score 60-52 and the Caravan called a timeout. With 37 seconds left in the game, Frazier slammed home a crushing dunk to take the lead back to 12. Richwoods and Mt. Carmel saw the foul line a few more times in the waning second of the game. The game ended 65-55, Richwoods!
