Washington Panthers 46, Geneseo Maple Leafs 32
The Maple Leafs struck first with a layup from Denney. The Panthers' Conner Underwood was unable to complete his 3 point play, making the score 2-2 at the 7:02 mark. By the 5:20 mark a pair of baskets were exchanged to make the score 4-4. Roth of the Panthers zeroed in on a 3 pointer, 7-4 at 4:55 mark. Croegaert's basket at the 4:15 made the score 7-6. After a missed shot by Washington and turnover by Geneseo the score was unchanged at the 2:11 mark. Colton Underwood's trip to the foul line resulted in 9-6 lead at the 2:36 mark. By the 1:54 the Maple Leafs' VanOpdorp basket closed the gap to one point, 9-8. A Ryan field goal added to the Panthers lead 11-8, at the 1:39 mark. VanOpdorp made one of two at the line, 11-9 at the :59 mark. Connor Underwood was back at the line with :46 on the clock, where he completed both free throws, 13-9. The 1st quarter ended that way.
Conner Underwood completed a 3 point play to make the score 16-9, at the 7:18 mark of the 2nd quarter. Genseseo's Ashpole scored the next two baskets to draw within 3, 16-13 at the 6:40 mark. Washington called a time out at the 6:35 mark. Hamer's shot brought the Leafs within 1, 16-15 at the 6:10 mark. Izaguirre's 3 pointer extended Washington's lead to 19-15 at the 5:40 mark. Geneseo called a timeout with 4:25 left in the half. Both teams were in the bonus at 4:10 mark. Colton Underwood made the score 21-15 at the 3:48 mark. The clock reached the 2:38 mark before Colton Underwood scored, making the score 23-15, Washington. Ashpole made it to line, where he converted both free throws for the Leafs, 23-17, at 2:21 mark. With just over a minute left in the half Izaguirre drained a 3 pointer, 26-17. The Panthers' Grebner dropped two free throws to increase the lead 28-17, at the 19 second mark. Sharp added another two points, where the scored ended 30-17, Washington.
Washington continued its run of 9 unanswered points into the 3rd quarter where the score was 33-17 at the 6:30 mark. Geneseo's Ashpole broke the ice at the 6:07 mark, 33-19. The Leafs went on a 7-0 run, which included a Croegaert 3 pointer, 33-24 at the 3:40 mark. After a 3:10 drought, Washington's Sharp added 2 to increase the lead to 11. The Leafs called a timeout at 2:51 mark. Washington controlled the ball for last minute of the quarter to take the last shot, which was made by Peters, 37-26.
Izaguirre started the 4th quarter with two 3 pointers, 43-26 at the 6:21 mark. Ashpole and Johnson claimed the next two baskets for the Leafs, 43-30. Sharp's free throw added another point to the lead, 44-30 at the 5:27 mark. Washington's man to man defense continued to plague Geneseo's offense. At the 4:13 Washington's lead was 16 points. Neither was able to change the score board until Geneseo's Croegaert went to the free throw line and sank both shots, 46-32. With two minutes left in the game the Maple Leafs put the full court press on. Panthers went into clock burn mode and the game ended 46-32.
